off to the land of Thai

Hey Everyone,

The solo journey starts soon! I am leaving for Thailand tomorrow. I decided to keep a blog again this time even though the trip is short, and although it is mostly a record for myself, I hope you enjoy it from time to time as well.

It's Thailand, so I expect to have lots of fun, but this trip is also much more focused than our last couple as I am going to be completing the field placement portion of my Master's degree and hopefully doing some research for my thesis over the next 3(+) months. For my placement, I will be working with displaced Karen and Karenni people in refugee camps along the Thai/Burma border I know I am going to be working with women but I don't know much else. I guess I'll figure it out when I get there ... so stay tuned!
